Spelt is an ancient grain which can be traced back to early civilizations 9000 years ago.
Spelt is a cross between Emmer wheat and Goats Grass and has a distinctive, nutty flavor.  This is a hulled heritage wheat variety, the seed coat has been removed and is ready to use as your next favorite ingredient. Please note: since spelt needs to be dehulled, when ordering whole grain spelt, you may notice some split or cracked kernels.
